What exactly do we do for our customers?
We help our clients acquire the car, truck, SUV or van they want in an educated and low-pressure style. We will help you compare new versus used and lease versus purchase options. Our data banks can price any make and model so you don't have to. No need to spend your precious time running from one car lot to the next. If you want an objective source of information, we are your one stop shop. Please keep in mind, we are not a referral service nor are we a library of information. We are brokers and we make our living by arranging your purchase of a new vehicle. If you wish to buy a used vehicle, we are a licensed used vehicle dealer and we can find the vehicle you want. We can assist with trade-ins, financing and aftermarket products.
Where do we find your used vehicle?
Typically, they are lease returns. Depending on the year, leases are written as two through four year contracts. When the contract ends, the vehicle is returned to the lender. These vehicles are sent to various auctions held weekly throughout the United States and Canada.
How do we check if your used car has been in an accident, is a lemon or if the odometer has been altered?
Good question if you don't have the right tools. All of our used vehicles are checked with an ELCOMETER. This hand held device reads paint thickness; which enables us to "see" if paint has been blended or if body filler has been applied. The company that supplies the big three automakers with devices to ensure new cars have proper paint thickness makes this device. It allows us to detect the even most professional after-factory paintwork. We also run a CARFAX title search on all used vehicles. This gives us title history, lemon law status, most outstanding recalls, odometer fraud and registration checks.
Do I get to see and drive the used vehicle before I buy it?
After we find and purchase your vehicle, we have it inspected and prepped. We then contact you for delivery. We will then schedule a time for you to inspect and drive the vehicle, review the paperwork and complete the transaction. We are assuming if we do what you have asked us to do - which is deliver the vehicle of your choice, in above average condition, at the agreed upon price - you will then purchase the vehicle. It's that easy and straightforward.
Are there any hidden costs?
No! Each of our clients receives a completed order detailing all pricing and equipment. The only additional fees charged are state sales tax, license and registration.
What is the process for buying through Signature?
In order to help you make an informed decision, it is most helpful to have a short 20 to 30 minute, no obligation meeting to discuss your vehicle needs. This meeting is essential if you have a trade-in. We will need to appraise the overall condition of your vehicle, this enables us to accurately represent your vehicle when obtaining "buy" bids from our various sources. We don't want to undersell or oversell your vehicle.
Is my deposit a fee or is it used to reduce the price of my car, truck, SUV or van purchase?
Your deposit is not a fee. The deposit is used to reduce the final price after taxes and registration have been applied. We do not charge a fee for our service. The new car franchised dealers pay us to sell a car that they otherwise wouldn't have sold. We save them money by acting as an "outside" sales staff. They pay us a "finders fee". This does not affect the price of your vehicle. If a new car franchise hires a salesman to work for them they must pay full benefits (i.e. Health insurance, social security and so forth). When we bring in a sale, employee benefits are not commissioned against the sales since the dealer does not directly employ us. Therefore the dealer sells more vehicles and retains a higher percentage of profit on each vehicle and is still able to pay a broker fee. Brokers are independent businesses.
